At Butter and Rose, we are creating something delicious for the "everyday". No special occasion is needed to enjoy our unique, handmade, small batch treats. We think "I made it to Thursday!" is a perfectly valid reason to eat cake, and better yet, share it.
Our menu is a mix: of familiar but new. Of wholesome (ish) but decadent. Of fun, yet somehow grownup too? There's a little bit for every occasion - your quick breakfast on the go, your pretty little bundt cake for brunch, a box of cute cookies to send to summer camp with your kid, and some gorgeous frosted cupcakes to thank that lovely neighbor for watering your plants while you were away (yes, those mango cupcakes really are vegan and whole wheat).
There's the pound cake loaf to go with your afternoon coffee, and the buttercream covered chocolate cake for a small birthday celebration for 4 on a Wednesday that's anything but dull. There's all of this and a bit of everything in between. Check it out, and you are sure to find something you'll want to try right away!
Baking with the seasons is high on our list, and we update our menu every so often to reflect the same. As lucky as we are to have access to such phenomenal produce year-round in California, we do believe that peaches should be eaten in August (over the sink). We have several mainstays on the menu that will be available all year long, but we really hope you'll take full advantage of our seasonal treats, bursting with peak season produce! That said, the nutella chocolate chunk cookies aren't going anywhere any time soon.
Everything you see here is made to order and packaged in our kitchen by us in Foster City, California. We are a licensed cottage food operation (CFO) in San Mateo County, California (permit# 0035914).
Stay hungry, happy and curious!

I'm Amruta, the creator of Butter and Rose. I was an engineer in my past life, and for my entire 15-year long software career, I was not-so-secretly in love with baking. A combination of many life-changing, mostly-awesome, once-in-a-lifetime events led me to take up baking full-time. And butter and rose came to be.
